"We don't just learn, we also develop different research projects and experiments which is really exciting.

Develop practical investigative science skills using data logging machines and microscopes, explore the University of Oxford’s scienced-themed museums, and learn about research methodology. Apply your knowledge by conducting a scientific research project and presenting your findings.


Study Visits and Guest Speakers

Being based in the academic city of Oxford gives students access to an exciting programme of Guest Speakers and Study Visits. Recent speakers include Dr Tom Crawford (PhD Applied Mathematics, Cambridge), Christian Adofo (Nike Journalist & Brand Creative Writer), and Dr Marcus Nyman (Senior Policy Officer, RSPB; PhD Geography, Cambridge). Study visits have taken students to Oxford’s Natural History Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum, History of Science Museum, and the University of Oxford Botanical Gardens, offering rich learning beyond the classroom.


Careers Advice Session

Our Science & Experiments course includes a dedicated Careers Advice session, where students meet with our experienced University and Career Counsellors to explore future pathways, university options, and career opportunities in the sciences. This guidance helps students make informed decisions and plan their next steps with confidence.

Project Eco-Innovation

Students who join on our second summer start date have the option to extend their programme by taking part in our Project Eco-Innovation.

This unique, multi-disciplinary programme brings together students from different courses to research, design, and present bold eco-solutions to real-world challenges.
